Can you believe that the snow plow had already been down our street a couple times when this shot was taken?! We were "snowed in" for 1 and 1/2 days!!! Remember the old saying about the mail being delivered through all kinds of weather? Well, it is no longer true: the mail wasn't delivered for 2 days, and trash pick-up was delayed a day. Even with the power off for 7 hours during the storm, we were warm and cozy and safe.
Bill is standing on our sidewalk, with the house across the street in the background. Bill enjoyed getting to know a neighbor better as he helped him with his driveway---his wife needed to get home!
Diane enjoyed the "trench" that Bill dug out to the street. Then, he started out digging the Jeep out.
A BIG job!
Even if the mail isn't delivered, Bill keeps his committments to our sweet songbirds! There was at least 18 inches of snow on this feeder. They were very thankful he uncovered it!
Bill had fun exploring the back yard. Some of the snowdrifts were 5 feet high!
A wintery wonderland! It was amazing how the ice storm that came first covered every inch of wire, each blade of grass, everything! Then the snow that followed coated every inch of ice with lovely crystals. Gorgeous!!!
Remember our little bears? They are under here, somewhere!!!
