Kyle & Heidi in the hospital...

When a child is admitted to a hospital, the Mommy is in the hospital, too!!! Check out Heidi and Kevin's blog for details of little Kyle's health and upcoming open-heart surgery. (There is a link to their blog on the right side of our blog.) This photo is after Heidi and Kevin got to step out for a little while for a walk and ice cream while Grandma Diane got to snuggle with Kyle. (Tues, May 5.) Heidi has been amazing!!! She now deftly handles all sorts of hoses and gizmos as well as the nurses---I think they should give her some kind of certificate or degree for all she is learning and doing!!! She is doing all she can to ensure that Kyle is cared for as well as possible.
Oh, what a precious boy Kyle is! Diane was grateful to be able to spend a few hours on Tuesday and Wednesday before needing to leave for Show Low for a couple more days of work, wishing she could visit and help more, but also thankful for the answer to prayers of having some employment again. (Thanks for taking this photo, Heidi!---It is rare for me to visit without a camera. )
This pretty but fuzzy, water-color-like photo is of the Snowflake Temple, taken with my little phone camera. We went fasting to the Temple last week, and put Kyle's name on the prayer role, as well as other family members in need of extra blessings from Heaven. As we drove away from the Temple, there was a glorious sunset in the west, which wrapped all the way around to the east behind the Temple. It just seemed that extra love from Heaven was seeping out of the Temple into the sky!!!!! We felt an extra surge of comfort that Kyle and Heidi and her family will all be taken care of well, that all will go correctly and according to Heavenly Father's will. We also had the birth of Kiley to Melina on our minds, and felt comfort regarding that as well. It was wonderful to learn today that Kiley was born safe and sound, and that Melina is tired but happy!
