This morning on his elementary school bus route, Bill picked up his usual kids, including the girl who usually gives him a flower. Well today, she had a long-stemmed sunflower in her hand, but walked on by without giving it to Bill. OK, he thought, at least I don't have to worry about where to put a long-stemmed flower.
When they arrived at the school, several little girls came up to Bill. "She was hitting that boy with the flower!" "I wasn't hitting him, I was tickling him." So Bill says, "Don't hit anybody with a flower on the bus!" (Another new rule. Sigh.) As they were getting off the bus, one of the fifth grade girls was heard to say, "Totally a misuse of nature!"
