Bill took these pictures on the lovely grounds of the Mesa Arizona Temple, after the special ceremony inside that sealed Heidi and Kevin Anderson and their children together for Time and for all Eternity! We don't take photos inside the Temple, due to the sacred nature of that Holy building. But they wore their lovely white clothing outside for some happy picture taking. Such a lovely and peaceful day!
My (Diane's) favorite memories of that day include the happiness I felt at being inside the Temple with all 4 of my children at the same time---a wonderful first; and how lovely it was to see Heidi and Kevin and their children stand near the large mirrors together: the 2 mirrors are situated on opposite sides of the lovely sealing room, symbolizing Eternity, as the reflections go on and on---forever!
For more information about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the importance of Temples, etc, you can ask us, and/or visit lds.org or mormon.org, and visit the Visitor's Center on the north side of the Temple grounds. I am so very thankful to be sealed to my husband Bill, for Time and Eternity! What great blessings of peace it gives us to know that our marriage will endure forever, because we are keeping the promises that we made to each other and to God, and we plan to keep doing so!!! As each family is sealed, and endures righteously to the end, it joins all of Heavenly Father's children to each other and to Him. What great blessings for all who choose to partake in His great plan of happiness!
Here are some more photos of moments of happy family visiting on the Temple grounds:
Kristopher and Amy look on, in the photo above. Somehow we didn't get any photos that show Amy's face---oh dear! Well, in the photo below, at least we can see the back of her pretty hair! And in the center is my children's father, Frank. We're not sure what Ethan is doing, but his mom Julie seems to be taking care of it! Julie took some group photos of all of us who were there. We will try to post one when she gets it ready & sends it to us.
Oh, how little Kyle loved walking around with his special buddy---Julie! Who was also the photographer! Some of the professional photos she took that day are on Heidi and Kevin's blog---click on the link on the right side of this page. On their blog is also info and photos about Heidi sewing the white clothing for Kyle and Sara. She made them of silk, with really special details.
MaryKate and Sara showing us grandparents how beautifully their dresses twirl!
Nikolai is so happy and peaceful, and handsome in his white suit. I hope he remembers how a Priesthood Blessing earlier that day helped him feel better from his illness, as well as calm, so that he could enjoy this important day.
Ah! There is my Bill, and my oldest son, Karl! Karl flew from Alabama to be here especially for this great day!
After our time at the Temple, Karl and Bill and I got to spend some time together, visiting and exploring the huge Bass Pro Shop. Then Heidi and Kevin hosted a fun party that evening at their home where many friends came to help them celebrate this important day--January 27th, 2012. We are so glad we were able to postpone my knee surgery a few days, so that we could participate. Much to be thankful for!!!
