It was fun having the scenery on our back porch for a few days. Didn't the Youth in our ward do a cute job on the scenery? This was how the ranch-house/cabin came out.
And the barn and the big tree final result. (This big tree is where the "basketball" hoop was put behind during our roadshow. All the shots were made to land behind the tree. It was the reaction of the cast that let the audience know whether or not the shot was made.)
Kendra was our "leaf expert"! (on both sets)
This is a "before" shot of the cabin. Brother Zampedri built the sets, then delivered them to our house. Diane put the gesso on them to prepare them for paint, then used water-based spray paint to get this basic outline done. Then all the youth who were available the next day came and transformed it into the finished product. It was a fun time, and they were very careful and responsible acting---Bill and I could even be in the house part of the time, not watching over their every move, and they were fine. What a great bunch of kids!!! We are so glad we got the chance to get aquainted with them.
The ranch-house/cabin crew: (from back to front) Kaella, Summer, Jeff, Seth and Kalee. (Jeff also did the tree trunk and branches on the other one.)
The barn crew: Devan, Bryce and Dalton, (with their designer painting masks!) The green paint in Devan's hair washed out OK!
Here is Kalee, taking a break from doing the front of the house so paint wouldn't drip in her hair as other painters worked! It was a good job done from all involved!
