AttenTION!!! David is scheduled to begin basic training for the U.S. Army in July, so they are all practicing! Then, he will be off to Officer Candidate School (OCS), and be commissioned as a 2nd lieutenant, Mandy and the children plan to visit her Mother in Taiwan while David is in basic training. We will miss all of them, and look forward to their visits after this stage. They have been so prayerful about this decision over a long period of time, and feel peaceful about it. David has already completed the entrance tests, physical, etc, and did well. He is hoping to be able to use his degree in supply chain management in his work for our country.
We are proud of you, David. We get a little worried from time to time about what you may be called upon to face. But each time we pray about you, your family, and your decision, we get a calm feeling. Patiotism has always been important to us. Our country needs more men with your morals, convictions, and enthusiasm.
