The Monster Slayer!!!

Monster Icicle Slayer, that is!!! Because the big icicles next to & over walkways are dangerous to humans and puppy dogs, Bill tackled them this afternoon. For "before" photos, please see the next blog post.

Some of Bill's other activities lately: He is so glad to have hours at work again! He returned to a half-day of bus driving today, and is scheduled for morning AND afternoon routes in January. Whew! So, our gifts to family will be quite small this year, between this reduced income and Diane's injury/health issues reducing the production of home-made items---so sorry! But we hope you know that the love behind our Holiday wishes to you all is still VERY LARGE!!!

Bill has been so busy in so many ways lately! He is super busy each Sunday, with teaching a weekly Teacher Development course, teaching in High Priest's Group once per month, & often substituting for other classes, since he is the Sunday School President in our ward. And, of course, Home Teaching, too. He has cheerfully been the chief house-cleaner, errand runner, and the fetch & carry man for Diane while she is laid up, as well as chauffeur, entertainment director, doing a lot of the cooking, etc, etc!!! What a great example of a truly Christlike life of service he has been. I am so thankful for his honest goodness and pure motives for all he does. In recently reviewing the Savior's life, I see many parallels between the kinds of service He did daily and the kind Bill gives. Thank you, Bill.

Below, you see a photo of some of the ice chunks Bill broke off. They are BIG and SHARP! And below that is a little video we took of him chopping away at it. Hopefully it isn't too blurry. I think it shows how THICK that sheet of ice is!

Such is our life and recent adventures in Show Low, AZ! We sure enjoy each other and our life together, and hope to hear from and maybe get to visit our loved ones from other areas soon!
