Beauty in the backyard!

My favorite gardener!
Bill is getting ready to build a teepee around the little peach tree, to protect against the upcoming freeze that is forcast. Every year, it has had these fabulous blossoms, that fell off after frosts, even tho we covered the tree. So, this year, we have a more elaborate plan to try to get some peaches! This photo shows the "bee-bushes'" fuzzy things. They smell sooooooooo fragrant, and attract hundreds of bees during the day. As soon as the sun gets low, the bees all go home. After the fuzzy things drop off, the bushes grow lots of leaves that make a tall fence between our properties during the summer, and have a wonderful show of color during the fall. We sure enjoy our backyard---can you tell?
Close-up of peach blossoms!

Looking upwards thru the bee bushes. (Be sure to bring Klennex if you want to smell these, they make our allergies act up! It is worth it for a few weeks, tho.)

And sunset thru the bee bushes!

The daffodils watch the lilac bushes begin to bud and leaf-out. Ahhh, we love the Spring-time!
