Decorating!

We have long admired the lovely wall arrangement that Chris Nilsson did above their computer area, and wanted to do something similar. Well, Marilee had given Diane a gift including several blue and white pots/vases, and Diane has been contemplating where they would best go. Bill got out this shelf and the hammer, and we had fun creating something pretty out of things we already have that have meaning for us. The pretty vase is from Marilee (Thank you!), the flowers are from our wedding decorations, the teapot is a cherished heirloom that Diane's ancestor carried across the plains as a new convert from Denmark. The tatted dresser scarf had been Goldie's, Bill thinks it may have been done by his grandmother. The beautiful framed prints were gifts to Bill from Melina in years past, and the wooden "Faith in Every Footstep" was a $2 yardsale find last year! So, we had a fun afternoon of creation, and we hope visitors will notice the pretty arrangement instead of the cluttered computer desk below!!!
These are some more of the blue&white pots Marilee gave Diane---Thanks, Marilee! Diane had fun choosing the right flowers from her box. Springtime is trying to spring outside, even tho the winter wind and cold returned with a fury yesterday!!! So, at least it looks like Spring indoors! (Bill says these clouds weren't supposed to have rain according to the radar, and it was just because of Diane's prayers that we got rain anyway! Diane is just glad for the free nitrogen the rain brings the garden, and for the forest's benefit, of course.)

And this photo is because HoneyBear saw that Diane was taking pictures in the kitchen, and so she came over and posed! Have a happy day from us! (Hmmm, "green-eye" instead of "red-eye" --- is that a dog thing?)
