Mother & Dad drove us up to Orem to have lunch at Sizzler's to celebrate Suzannes birthday. Suzanne is one of Diane's younger sisters. Happy Birthday, Suzanne! From left to right are Dan, Suzanne's husband, Suzanne, Diane, Dad, and Mother. We also got to go to the Church Distribution Center, and bought a DVD about serving in the military. We highly recommend it to all. It's called "Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled--A message of peace for Latter-Day Saints in Military Service." David begins his life in the army today, so this topic has been much in our minds and hearts.
Poor Suzanne got a very hurt ankle for her birthday. We hope it is doing better. At least we took a fun photo about it!
As with most of our photos of this trip, this is out of order, but I love it. Occaisionally, HoneyBear would enjoy the scenery briefly, then lay down and snooze again. A very good traveller!

Of course, the best part of our vacation was visiting Mother & Dad. We enjoyed singing some music Mother gave us, and accompanied for us. We played Scattergories, had a lovely Sunday meal in the dining room---Mother always sets such a pretty table, and got to visit lots!
We enjoyed time in Mother & Dad's lovely yard, too. Here is Bill in the gazebo Dad built. (Fond memories of children acting out the "Sound of Music" scene where the young couple dance in the gazebo!)
Diane enjoys touching the shell "chandelier", a souvenier from Mother & Dad's time in Hawaii. Mother has a real talent for elegant decorating, inside and out. Their home always feels like, and looks like, a Temple interior!
Dad showed us what some wasps left behind---it is like paper!

Since Diane's eye injury, she thought her 4-wheeling days were over, but Dad took her on a very gentle ride with no jolts, and all was fine. This is such a favorite activity with Dad. I love getting to enjoy nature and pretty scenery with my Dad.
Dad and Bill enjoyed some 4-wheeling time, too.
Tag and HoneyBear seemed to get along just fine. (Except Tag thought he should get all the bones! The funny thing is, HoneyBear would drop hers so he could come get hers! I guess that must be dog rules. Whosever yard it is gets the bones!)
