The Fishlake Loop!

Happy Bill!!! A vehicle to drive, pretty scenery, some food & me for company... and he's a happy man! My Dad suggested this pretty drive for us, and Bill was anxious to try it out. It sure was worth the extra time!
We saw several large flocks of these birds as we drove around the north end of Fishlake. From here they looked like cranes or something, but as we got closer.......
....they had these huge bills! Is this a kind of stork, we wonder? My parents said they never saw them in that area before! We also saw golden eagles several times, but didn't get photos.Isn't this beautiful country?
These metal cutout silhouettes really do look like a pack train at first glance!
Even through the spotted windshield, the scenery is gorgeous!
Our picnic spot!
"Oreo cows", aptly named by Bill...Honestly, they are NOT spray-painted! (We got close enough to make sure, as we know folks who have sprayed paint on their cows before hunting season.) Reminded us of the story of Jacob and the deal he had with his father-in-law...(from the Old Testament).
Rest stops! Utah has rest stops! Clean, too! Arizona, listen up: reopen the rest stops you have closed. Makes such a difference in a traveler's comfort and disposition!
