We got to hold Kayla for the first time ever!!!!! What a sweet little gal she is, 1 & 1/2 yrs old. Ah, precious moment! Karl and Bill were taking photos at the same time, so see Karl's photo below. I was looking at his camera at the time, so it came out a little better, but in copying it from the fb post it won't get bigger! Heidi's family hosted our get-together, bless their hearts. Moving it to Mesa meant hotter weather, but no smoke from a forest fire a few towns away! We were especially worried about Karl's asthma when we made that decision. Thanks for hosting it, Heidi and Kevin! Sooooo very thankful to have the opportunity to visit with all my 4 children's families at once! And especially thankful to get to visit with Karl, Charla, Heather, Michael, and Kayla!!!
Karl and Michael went with us for a little one-to-one visiting time at the Mesa Temple grounds. Great to have more visiting time with my oldest son and his son!
Next to meeting Kayla, this was my very most favorite moment. Michael has a deep love for Jesus. Charla said he came that way, without her teaching it to him first. "My Jesus, its my Jesus!" he exclaimed as he ran up to gaze adoringly at the statue. Still brings tears to my eyes to think about it. Before we left, Michael asked one of the older missionaries if he could hear the Jesus statue talk again. Of course, he was happy to push the button again for such a sweet boy.
