On Feb. 18th, 2013, we had an unusually warm day, and started to walk the Show Low Bluff Trail...
but then the DEEP mud from the melting snow prevented us from going very far. It was a gorgeous day to be out and about!!!
After many, MANY months of using a Laundromat, we rejoiced at being able to purchase a nice, used washer & dryer. Bill had fun installing it! What a luxury---doing laundry at home! I don't think we will ever take it for granted again!
Diane and HoneyBear really have enjoyed the blankets that Heidi gave them at Christmas-time. HoneyBear has an interesting ability to keep hers on for a long time, while walking, sitting, lying down, and walking again! This was taken Feb 19, 2013.
On Feb 21st, 2013, we had a lovely snowy day. Just enough to enjoy, without having to shovel much!
For our date, on March 16th, 2013, we headed out to go elk hunting a little before dawn! The kind of hunting we like to do is with a camera. See all the elk-prints in the partly dried mud?!!
You can see how big this hoof-print is compared to my boot!
Well, the sun is coming up, and no elk were spotted this time, but we saw a LOT of their footprints! It was a fun date, thanks Bill!!!
Another photo of HoneyBear with her blankie, this time on March 20, 2013.
HoneyBear poses for a photo when a new or clean bow is tied onto her collar!
Pintail Lake was a very interesting place to visit. It is surprisingly close to Show Low. We went on March 29, 2013.
HoneyBear likes watching the ducks, too.
From this observation area, we saw some nesting birds, mostly ducks and coots.
From this observation area, we saw lots of mating birds. Next time, we want to visit much earlier in the morning. Our camera quit before we got good photos of the birds, but we had a great time!
