On the left, my Mother, Gayle Nilsson, with her long-time friend Marie Peterson. Marilee held a party for Mother at her house in Mesa, and Mother and Dad travelled down from Manti Utah to be there.
Mother and 3 of the sisters, Pat, Nanette, and Karen, for 3 photos!!!
Dad and Brother Peterson have been long-time friends, too! And sometimes friendly rivals: during election years they would sneak over to place opposing candidate's bumper stickers on each other's cars, for instance! Fun memory from the 50's and 60's.
Heidi, Eon, Marilee, and Sara. Thanks for hosting this party at your house, Marilee!!! Behind Marilee is part of one of our Dad's paintings.
More Anderson photos...
Amy and Mike's family were able to be there for a short while, too! Amy, Mike, Chesley, Ethne, Zach, Emma, and Colin!
Me and my sister Suzanne. She and daughter Melissa were able to travel down from Utah with Mother and Dad for the several days of celebrations for Mother!
Suzanne and Pat!
The game table with more of the family who got to be there...
Hi Dad!
The game table again! Starting at Nikolai (sad, did he just lose?), going around the table clockwise, MaryKate Anderson, Julie and Sterling Smith, Shae Garbison, Emma (Rachael's daughter), and Melissa Bills
Bill goes outside to play with the little guys, Melinda's boys. Fun! Melinda didn't seem to get in my photos, oh no! Sorry. Well, at least her hand holding a punch cup did.
We delight in a lovely tissue holder Rachael crocheted for Mother as a gift. (This is the only photo of her fiancé David we got. Well, in March, there will be a post of their wedding photos, so you can see what he looks like.) Mother plans to take the pretty tissue holder to the Temple when she works there, when she offers tissues to patrons. It will fit in her pocket.
Rachael and me.
Thanks for turning 80, Mother, so we could have this celebration. Don't my parents look wonderful for their ages?!!! I hope it's hereditary!
