We had the opportunity to pick up Kris, Marx, and Maddox at the airport in Phoenix, and take the boys to another Grandma's house. While they were waiting for their luggage, a wonderful transformation happened to the people around them: the tired, travelworn grown-ups began to smile. The enthusiasm of Marx and Maddox was contagious! We loved the way Kris gave them directions quietly, and still allowed them the freedom to be them, as they obediently stayed close to him.

I tried to get more pictures, especially of Maddox making friends with a pretty lady next to them and helping her watch for her luggage, but people kept walking in front. ('You know those "lose weight" ads that show people from the neck down? That is what most of the impromptu photos of strangers turned out like! Oh, dear.) Whenever we see a luggage carousel from now on, we will think of 2 happy boys who made dozens of people smile for a few minutes.
